SEVEN THINGS TO BE ADMIRED ABOUT BTS

(Not related to my fujoshi's life, but I just want to share my honest opinion about my ultimate bias Kpop group, Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS)

BTS is probably one of the most popular Korean boyband not only in Asia but also in different continents after their remarkable music and performances. They are also the first Kpop group who performed in a prestigious American Music Awards which all the well-known artists in music industry were gathered. Moreover, they won the Top Social Artist 2017 in Billboard Music Award, another renowned music award-giving body in the music world. Not only that, BTS' songs also topped in various charts as they pave their name to the top of the this industry.

However, more than the awards, prizes, and sales they have accumulated since their debut, there are Seven Things to be Admired about this spectacular group:

7. SENSE OF HUMOR

Personally, every time I heard the word 'Idol,' it's all about handsome men who will make you fall in love with their loving smiles and fine gestures. They are like the prince charming in fairy tales...

Well, BTS members are princes. They can make your knees turn into jello with their enthralling voices, scorching gazes and exciting dance moves whenever they're on stage...

But off stage, they're a bunch of dorky boys.

Seriously, I still couldn't comprehend how these boys' characters turn a complete 180 degrees every after their lit up performances.

The badass rappers: Suga, RM, and J-Hope, become aegyos with their antics and bright smiles.

Meanwhile, the sexy vocals: Jin, Jimin, V, Jeongkook, become adorable puppies with their cute posts and silliness.
BTS isn't afraid of looking funny despite being idols. Plus their witty remarks and acts that will make anyone giggles a lot.

6. FEARLESSNESS

Technically, each member has something they are afraid of. But when it comes with their music, they are fearless.

If BTS just wanted fame, they would just write songs based on what everybody wants to hear. Some music full of jam, yet senseless. Music that can make the people groove along, but not to think about.

BTS' music isn't and will never be like that.

Yes, it is indeed that their songs have lively melody, accompanied by amazing dance choreography... But these songs also tackle various social issues which, sometimes, are being set aside or avoided.

In my opinion, DNA has subtlety discussed one of the highly debated issues nowadays - LGBT Community.

Recently, the LGBT community has finally been finding its voice to speak out. Unfortunately, there are still some people who wouldn't and couldn't accept it no matter how the world changes because of different reasons. Culture-engraved is one of it.

It's interesting how BTS shows their perspective regarding love which isn't a coincidence since  DNA wants you from the very beginning. Meaning, a person will love and be loved regarding of gender, race, age, and etc. In addition, the rainbow set is hinting us of their support for LGBT.

Anyway, RM, the leader and one of the composers, is known to advocate the said community.

In other words, BTS is fearless to use their music to raise awareness about various issues. As what Min Suga said in latest vlog, (not verbatim) there is something more important than sales, charts, and awards.

5. PASSION

Aside from passionately sleeping and lying down, Suga is one of the members who so passionate in making music. It's not a secret to everyone the hardship he has undergone to pursue his music career. Although his parents strongly disapproved it. He strongly held onto his dreams.

It's the same with all the members. Since their group has come from a small company, a lot had told them, they wouldn't survive the savage world of show business. Just like the tag line of Project Runway, "One day you're in, the next day you're out." There were some people who looked down at them.

However, it's their passion for music which drives them to continue with their work, albeit it might starve them to death.

Let's be honest, in today's generation, who else will leave everything, who will go against the direction of majority just to pursue his own desire in spite of all the uncertainties?

In the recent revelation of Jin's family background, it is said that he's actually a son of a well-known CEO in SoKor. In other words, he could live a comfortable life even without working too hard. But, he chose the latter. He chose to stay living his passion for music despite all the hardships.

That's how passionate they are with their chosen field, and they want to share it with everyone. They are so in love with their music as much as we do.

4. DETERMINATION AND WILL

BTS debuted four years ago. However, the group was formed back in 2010. They just couldn't make their first appearance because of the constant change in members. In original line up, RM was the maknae. But it changed when all his hyungs left. There were some who told him to give it up because it seemed to be a fruitless pursuit. Yet, RM never gave up. He never let go of his dream that one day, the group he's belonged to would make a debut.

Until they did.

But it wasn't the end because, again, a lot had predicted their failure since they came from a small company unlike the other Kpop groups.

Nonetheless, instead of wallowing over those harsh words, they used it to create and deliver excellent music. They were determined to prove their strengths and capabilities. They would rise despite all the hates and cruel criticisms. They used the stones being thrown at them to build a magnificent castle.

The more the others put them down, the more they will climb up high.

Through their will and determination, once a dream, is now becoming a reality.

3. HUMILITY

Usually, when a person has achieved so much in his/her life, there's a tendency for that person to brag it to everyone. To be arrogant because s/he thinks s/he becomes superior than the others.

Well, we could say that BTS has achieved a lot.

From being an underdog, they are now on top. Despite it, they remain who they are since their first day. If there is something that has changed about them, it's their hair color (XD). Kidding aside, they become more mature and widen their perspective which is a must to compose more better music.

Regardless of it, no matter how high they have flown, their feet are still on the ground. They never forget to mutter their sincerest gratitude to all the people who make it possible for them to reach their goals and dreams. And they want to return all the support by creating spectacular songs.

Their humility is one of the things which makes them loved by ARMY's.

2. FAMILY

7 different boys from different places with different orientations, personalities, and experiences have been bound together through music. They have become each other's support during their ups and downs, and protectors from cruel eyes of haters.

Moreover, it isn't only about the members, but also to the whole company who gave them an opportunity to meet one another. It is always shown through their actions, and words aren't enough to describe how strong their relationships are.

Even to the official fandom, ARMY. BTS considers everyone as part of their big happy family which can always be felt, that's why ARMY will never get tired of supporting them.

The bond they have with everyone is something that cannot be easily torn apart.

1. BTS BEING BTS

True, honest, cry babies, and sincere. What else could I say?
I think everyone has this so called feeling when someone is just being showbiz. We could easily tell it no matter how good that person is in acting.

And with BTS, it can never be felt.

Watch their videos for you to decide...

All the experiences they have are what made them who they are. The vulnerabilities they show are their greatest strengths... They are one of the few artist who would rather be loved for who they are than what they are not.

Hence, let's continue to show our undying support to this wonderful group as they deserve all the best in the world.

It's actually my first time to like a Kpop group...

and I'm proud that it's Bangtan Sonyeondan.

++++++++

P.S. Because I'm Suga's trash...he he he XD

The badass, full of swagggg rapper with an oh-so pretty and angelic face...

SHIPS: TO SAIL OR TO SINK

This is, perhaps, the most difficult part of being a Fujoshi since you're more interested in shipping two men which is taboo for some people.

What do we mean by 'ship' anyway?

Ship - I don't know if it really begins with it, but according to my understanding, it might be gotten from the idiom "in the same boat" that means "being in the same unfortunate circumstances as the others." It might originally have a negative connotation, but as time passes by, it can also be now used in a positive way as language is dynamic. Shipping is figuratively the manner of putting in two people, who have great chemistry, in the same boat and let them sail together to the place where, we believe, they are supposed to be at...

or in other words, Ship is partnering two persons together in a romantic way.

The Song-Song Couple is a dream-fulfillment for all shippers as their boat has successfully landed to the destination we hardly prayed for them to be at.

However, there are times, or should I say, a lot of times, the ship sinks or the couple breaks up..

The hardest part of being a shipper as it can't be helped to invest too emotions, wishing for them to be real. Yet, it doesn't. And you can't complain because, remember, they are actors who have their own private lives, hence you can only support them for whatever decisions they have.

For a 'normal' shipping, it's rare to have their ship sinking. Mostly, it's sailing.

But for BL shipping, it would be a miracle if the two actors truly fall for each other. Meaning, we can only have sinking ships in the vast pacific ocean after all those 'kilig' moments for they can't really be together in reality...

What can we do? It's all just work and business. Fanservice. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just be happy that even for a short time, they give excitement to your boring life.

Focus with your own and let them have some privacy...

Yet still, you can't help wishing for your little fujoshi's dream to come true.

The following are my ships I wish to continuously sail in the future. If they can't be in a romantic relationship, then as good friends or brotherly-like relationship is enough for me, as long as they won't break apart and become like strangers:

Love Sick: Phun & Noh/ Whitewo & Captain (The legend, for me, as it's the first BL series I watched and finished)

Sotus: Kongpob & Arthit/ Singto & Krist

Make it right: Frame & Book/ Ohm & Toey

2Moons: Forth & Beam/ Tae & Tee (Chose that pic because P'Tae just recently sank their ship XD.)

2Moons: Ming & Kit/ Kim & Cop

Puppy Honey: Pick & Rome/ Off & Gun (I think this couple is getting there...)

(The last two couples are what I believe is 'Real.' It's just that, they are rising stars, hence they can't reveal it yet. Plus, their country's culture and tradition...)

Uncontrolled Love: Xie Yan & Shu Nian/ Mengrui & Wang Bowen

Swap: Yu Wen & Guang Guang/ Yang Yeming (Leo) & Yao Wang (Lucas)

(The most beautiful differences: height, skin color, habit, character...They just perfectly compliment each other. Yin and Yang)

Three years ago...

Three years ago, I was just an ordinary girl who loved to read Manga, and watch Koreanovela. Totally unaware of the existence of the so called "Boys Love," although my first best friend is a gay, and I can easily get closed with them.

Not until I came across a certain fan video in Youtube while I was looking for an anime to watch. It was summer time, vacation (And what else is the best way to spend summer than lying on a bed and watching or reading?).

The video was entitled "Yaoi Kuroshitsuji."

Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) was one of my favorite manga. I was so in love with Ciel Panthomhive and Sebastian. Honestly, I secretly shipped them. But because I thought it was so wrong, I would just pretend that Ciel was a girl >.<

Then, I got curious about the word 'Yaoi.' What did it mean? Why did the people in comment box said, Kuroshitsuji was supposed to be a Yaoi, however the editor advised the author not to do it?

So, with the help of Google, I searched for it's meaning...

And viola! The birth of a Rotten Girl (Fujoshi).

It had begun with a Manga, followed by a novel, and addicted with TV series...

For me, there's nothing wrong with shipping two men together. There's nothing wrong with loving a person who has the same gender. Love holds no definition. It's boundless.

Nonetheless, though the world is becoming more open about this topic, It still can't be helped receiving prejudices from others. Even the people who just appreciate this wonderful love, cannot escape the burning gaze of them.

Hence, I created this blog to understand our story. I guess, the only reason why there's dispute is because this community isn't given a flatform to express ourselves.

What really is a life of a Fujoshi/Fudanshi?

and How hard it is to hide yourself behind just not to be condemned by others?
